CREST OF DARKNESS Mainman To Guest On Norwegian TV This Friday
December 5, 2007On Friday, December 7 at 6.40 p.m. local time, the Norwegian TV channel NRK 1 (Østnytt) will feature an interview with CREST OF DARKNESS mainman Ingar Amlien. He will present the band's new release, "Give Us The Power To Do Your Evil", and will show short clips from the band's new video, "Druj Nasu", the band's private video footage from the recording sessions in Rome and more.
CREST OF DARKNESS's "Druj Nasu" clip can be viewed below. According to a press release, "it is a very professional video produced by Monitormedia (Norway) and available on the ['Give Us The Power To Do Your Evil'] CD as bonus track."
CREST OF DARKNESS' fifth full-length album, "Give Us the Power to Do Your Evil", was released in October via My Kingdom Music. The CD was recorded with producer Giuseppe Orlando (NOVEMBRE) at the Outer Sound Studios in Rome, Italy.
Commented CREST OF DARKNESS bassist/vocalist Ingar Amlien: "I'm very happy with the recordings! We had to work very fast while we had only two weeks in the studio, but thanks to Giuseppe Orlando we made it!! It was a pleasure to work with him! I know that all the bandmembers did a great job, but without a good producer I don't believe we could have done this. Most of all I'm very happy because it's sounding very 'honest.' It's not perfect, but that was not what I wanted. This is as close as you can come to the heart of CREST OF DARKNESS."
CREST OF DARKNESS last year announced that it has parted ways with guitarist Akke due to "personal reasons" and has replaced him with Rebo from Amlien's hometown of Gjøvik.
CREST OF DARKNESS' fourth album, "Evil Knows Evil", was released in early 2004 through My Kingdom Music. The follow-up to 2000's "Project Regenration" was recorded at MLP Studio in Gjvik, Norway with co-producer/engineer Nils H. Mhlum. Mastering took place at Outer Sound with Giuseppe Orlando.
